Hydro Flask 32 oz Wide Mouth with Flex Cap, Popstar Pink

A double-wall stainless steel bottle bought mainly to keep water cold; this entry reads the maker's specs and the Amazon listing, weighs it against a plain plastic bottle, and checks the warranty fine print.

Source: hydroflask.com 32 oz Wide Mouth page and the Amazon listing, read Sep 30, 2026. Cost: $44.95 for one bottle on Amazon. Insulation is the amber cell because it is the only reason to pay this much more than a plastic bottle. Weight is Hydro Flask's figure for its current 32 oz Wide Mouth (11.00 in tall); the Amazon listing gives no weight but lists the same 11 in height.

Before

Holds your pre-session drink; it is not a food.

During

Fine at the gym or courtside; heavy to carry on a run.

After

Keeps post-session water cold, but has no role beyond that.

All Day

Its job: a liter of water that stays cold from morning to evening, per the brand.

Scouting report

Facts, not hype

Strengths

  • Vacuum insulation: the brand states up to 24 hours cold and 12 hours hot with the lid on.
  • Dishwasher safe, bottle and lid, per the listing.
  • 18/8 stainless steel, per Hydro Flask; the listing says "pro-grade stainless steel."
  • Sold and shipped by Amazon.com on the day we checked.

Limits

  • Heavier than a plastic bottle: the brand's figure is 0.97 lb versus 6.25 oz for the Nalgene 32 oz.
  • $44.95 on the day we checked, nearly three times the Nalgene.
  • Not for stove, microwave or freezer use, per the brand.
  • Each color is its own listing with its own seller; check who sells the one you pick (see the warranty note below).

Best use

  • Long days away from a cold tap: work sites, hot-weather sports sidelines, road trips.
  • If you are near a fridge or fountain most of the day, a lighter, cheaper plastic bottle does the same job.

We read the 32 oz Wide Mouth Bottle page on hydroflask.com, the Hydro Flask warranty page, and the Amazon listing for the 32 oz Wide Mouth with Flex Cap in Popstar Pink on Sep 30, 2026 [1][2][3].

How it holds up in use

We did not run our own temperature or leak tests; this section reports what Hydro Flask and the listing state.

Insulation, plainly. Two steel walls with a vacuum between them slow heat moving in or out. Hydro Flask and the Amazon listing both state 24 hours cold and 12 hours hot [1][3]. Those are the brand's numbers, not ours, and real results depend on how full the bottle is, the starting temperature and how often you open it.

What it weighs. Hydro Flask's current 32 oz Wide Mouth page lists 0.97 lb, 11.00 in tall [1]; the Amazon listing gives no weight but the same 11 in height [3]. That is about two and a half times the Nalgene 32 oz Wide Mouth at 6.25 oz, before you add a liter of water (about 2.1 lb).

Warranty, and the seller question. Hydro Flask's warranty page describes a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. It says claims are accepted only if the product was bought from an authorized dealer, and that the company may ask for proof of purchase [2]. On Sep 30, 2026 the Popstar Pink listing we link was shipped and sold by Amazon.com rather than a third-party seller; several other colors were sold by third parties. Keep your order details in case you need to make a claim.

Before you buy

The insulation is the whole point. If you rarely need water to stay cold for more than an hour or two, the plastic Nalgene holds the same 32 oz for about a third of the price. If you choose a different color, check the seller, since some colors are third-party offers.

Game plan: using it in a session

A plain routine for a day with one insulated bottle; a sequence, not a promise.

  1. Fill it cold, with ice if you like

The wide mouth takes ice cubes. Close the Flex Cap fully; the brand's leakproof statement applies when it is closed.

  2. Carry it through the day

A full bottle is about a liter. Drink through the day, and avoid drinking more than you lose in a session; the sweat-and-sodium explainer summarizes the guidance.

  3. Keep it away from heat sources and the freezer

Per the brand: no stove, microwave or freezer.

  4. Wash it

The listing says the bottle and lid are dishwasher safe. Rinse it soon after if you put anything other than water in it.

Price and where it is sold

On Sep 30, 2026 the Amazon listing for the Hydro Flask 32 oz Wide Mouth with Flex Cap in Popstar Pink showed $44.95, in stock, shipped and sold by Amazon.com, with a free 30-day refund or replacement shown. Other colors are separate variations with their own prices and sellers. Check the page before buying: Hydro Flask 32 oz Wide Mouth, Popstar Pink, on Amazon.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Anyone counting ounces in a pack or on a long run; a plastic bottle or soft flask is far lighter.
  • Anyone who mostly drinks near a fridge or fountain; insulation adds cost and weight you may not use.
  • Anyone for whom the lifetime warranty is the deciding factor should read Hydro Flask's authorized-dealer terms before buying any color from a third-party seller.
  • Anyone who wants a straw or chug lid; Hydro Flask sells those as different versions, and this entry covers only the Flex Cap.
